Girls Day Out.

Dress - Dorothy Perkins/Loafers - Forever 21/Nameplate Necklace - Emikoshop (Photos by Julie)

Yes, you've seen this dress before here, and this background before here. But this dress is really comfy and "sporty" and perfect for a day of showing an out-of-town pal a real Cleveland experience, and this wall is really cool to take photos in front of. So, like my shoes say, WHATEVER.

Julie came to visit last weekend, and we had a blast seeing the sights and thrifting our butts off.
I took her to the West Side Market, one of my favorite places in Cleveland. We went upstairs and stood on the balcony. I wished I hadn't gone there after eating a giant sandwich at BonBon, because there are always so many delicious things to be munched on while avoiding the crowds.
Then, we went thrifting in the suburbs. These are just a few of the awesome things I found. The chair that everything is sitting on was only $10 and fits perfectly with my living room decor. So many good scores!

I had a great time, and it was a nice little break before Re/Dress opens tomorrow. I have a feeling my life (and certainly my weekends) will change pretty drastically about 24 hours from now! Wish us luck. I'll be back next week with photos from the opening party!

  1. Those SHOES! Also, I miss suburban thrifting sometime. There are so many savvy thrifters in the city that the competition for the good stuff is fierce, and it is so much harder to score great deals.

  2. We went to one thrift store in the city and actually came out with armfuls of stuff! I think that was a fluke though. Everyone knows the 'burbs have the best thrifting. ;)

  3. Next time, we'll just eat at the market! Best falafel in the entire world.

  4. I mean, I've definitely found some serious steals (like a vintage camel wool Dior blazer for $3!), but they seem to happen with much less frequency than when I had warehouse-sized stores to peruse :)

  7. cute dress, love it with the pop of the necklace too. Also, love you you can pull off the stright bangs- being that my hair is curly and I could never have those I admire them so much =)
