Blouse - Forever21+/Jeans - Torrid/Shoes - ASOS/Ring - H&M

I hate posting Instagram photos on here, but sometimes lugging around my giant camera isn't practical! I wore this on a double date to brunch and the Cleveland Museum of Art. If I look smug, it's because I'm SLEEVELESS IN JANUARY. It was 60 degrees today, sleeves were not an option. It's weird that you can see some of my tattoos! I tend not to show them often. When they're exposed, I feel kinda exposed too. I also hate getting one million wrong guesses as to who my Morrissey tattoo is of. "Is that Elvis?" is probably my most commonly asked question. Can't you see I'm way too goth for that? Duh.

I went to see Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel over the weekend. (D.V. supplied the title of this post!) It was so inspiring. I loved her attitude, particularly the concept of creating beauty by demanding it. As a fellow control freak, I felt validated. I took two really important lessons away from this film: while style can be learned, true originals are born that way, and the only way to stand out is to be your truest self. She lends herself perfectly to the documentary format, so I highly recommend seeing it if you are interested in fashion, photography, design, or just stories of interesting/influential people in general.
